You may wonder as you read these words how long it has been since My servant Paul wrote them. And he warns the believers at Thessalonica about the coming of the lawless one and about the coming of My son. You might say in your hearts, but it has been so long. Why should those in the days that followed not question that the Son of Man had not come and the lawless one had not been revealed? And even today some scorn and dismiss My word.
But I say to you that even as My servant Paul wrote long ago, the power of lawlessness is already at work and you see that it is in this day increasing more and more. And do you not see in so many places that those who have been invested with the authority to maintain law and order have themselves become the practicers and the promoters of lawlessness. And you know that more and more various kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders are being performed. And by them many are being led astray. And you know that various kinds of evil are multiplying in the earth and those who are perishing are being deceived by them. And you will see even in this day a greater and greater increase until it is time for the lawless one fully to be revealed. But what is it that is to pre-occupy you in the midst in the midst of these things? Upon what are your hearts to be fixed?
My servant writes that you are to stand firm and to hold to the teachings which were delivered to you. He declares, “May our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word”. Yes, you are to fix your hearts upon Him who is your hope. You are to be encouraged with eternal encouragement and you are to be strengthened in every good deed and word. No matter how desperate, disorderly and lawless the situation around you develops, you are not to be moved by such things away from that firm foundation of your hope. And when others are deceived and led astray or fainting in despair, as you hold fast to the truth and fix your hope upon My Son, you will not only stand firm, but you will be a light in the darkness and some as a result will be rescued. Do not be concerned about the times that are set for the revelation of the lawless one. That is in My hands. Do not be carried away with speculations about it, but fix your hope securely upon the coming of My Son, for that is to be the focus of your hope. And you know that is also in My hands.

I have spoken to you before about the details of this portion, but I want you to notice, to understand and to take comfort in the truth that all of these awesome events are released into the earth by the Lamb. Everything that is removed that is good and beneficial for life and everything that is released that is destructive of life is not the work of the enemy, but it is My work. And you see that even those who are the souls of them who had been slain because of My word and testimony are told to wait for their vindication until all those of their fellow servants and brothers who were appointed likewise to be slain had been completed. So then, even the death of My saints, though they may have been slain by the hands of the wicked, were done so according to My will. This may be very difficult for you to understand, but what i am revealing to you here is that all of these awesome events, these catastrophes that come upon the earth are My doing and they are a necessary part of the fulfillment of My redemptive work.
For in this manner, the earth is judged and cleansed, which those who deny and misconstrue My purposes cannot accept that it is of Me. But you see here that the only ones who are mentioned as looking to Me in all of these awesome judgments are My saints who are crying out for My vindication. No one else, not the great or the small of the earth is shown to be calling out to Me. They instead call out to the mountains and the rocks to hide from My face. What I want you to see and understand is what I have been telling you that when your hearts are towards Me and you are covered by the blood of the Lamb, these mighty judgments will not unsettle or destroy you, for you will have no need to hide from My face or from My wrath. Neither will you need to be surprised or perplexed by the awesome events that result from the pouring out of My wrath. For you are not appointed unto My wrath, but unto My salvation and My glory. But I want you not merely to take comfort in your own protection and salvation, but also to warn those who do not yet look to Me to flee from this wrath to come. And though there will be those who scorn and disregard the warning, there will also be those who will hear and respond.

Do you believe these words? Are they just awesome pictures for you? They were not written just to tell you about future events far beyond your imagination or your comprehension. No they are given for your comfort, for your encouragement, and for your hope. For when you hear the reports of what is happening in the world, and even in this place, I know that there are times that you feel that the enemy is having his way. And he wants you to feel futile and impotent in the face of his roarings. But I ask you again, “Do you believe these words”? For they are given not just to strike a sense of awe in your hearts, but to comfort you and to encourage you that the judgment of the enemy and all who follow him is sure. And the vindication, the reward, the triumph of all who follow My Son is sure. And when you hear reports, and when you see awesome things that may cause your heart to tremble, remember what is written. Let your confidence not be shaken, for I have determined the judgment of the evil one, and of all who follow him. And I have determined the vindication and the reward of those who faithfully follow My Son.
